FASTRACK Comes To The 2 & 3 Next

The MTA NYC Transit FASTRACK program will now be coming to the 2 Train & 3 Train in Harlem & the Bronx for 2 consecutive weeks. Here are the full details:

For the first time, MTA New York City Transit brings FASTRACK to the 23 lines in Harlem and the Bronx for two consecutive weeks. Beginning Monday, March 16, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., for four consecutive weeknights, and from Monday, March 23, to early morning Friday, March 27, 2 trains are suspended between 3 Av-149 St and 96 St. 3 service is entirely suspended.

2 train service will operate in two sections:

1. Between Wakefield-241 St and 3 Av-149 St. Trains from Wakefield-241 St skip Jackson Av.

2, Between 96 St and Flatbush Av-Brooklyn College.

Travel alternatives:
Use free shuttle buses to complete your trip. Buses operate as follows:

1. Between 3 Av-149 St and 96 St, making all 2 station stops at 149 St-Grand Concourse, 145 St, 135 St, 125 St, 116 St, and 110 St.

2. Between Harlem-148 St and 96 St, making all 3 station stops at 145 St, 135 St, 125 St, 116 St, and 110 St.

3. Transfer between free shuttle buses and the 2 at 96 St and/or 3 Av-149 St, or the 4 at 149 St-Grand Concourse.

4. 4 trains make all 3 stops in Brooklyn to/from New Lots Av. Transfer between 2 and 4 at Franklin Av.

MTA NYC Transit’s FASTRACK will be returning to the 4 Train, 5 Train & 6 Train. Here are the complete details:

On Monday, March 9, MTA New York City Transit’s FASTRACK program returns to Manhattan stations along the 456 lines. For four consecutive weeknights from Monday, March 9, to early Friday morning, March 13, 456 trains will run express in both directions between 125 St and Grand Central-42 St. 5 service ends early in Manhattan each night.

4, 5 & 6 trains will operate as follows:

1. Trains skip 116 St, 110 St, 103 St, 96 St, 77 St, 68 St, and 51 St stations.

2. Trains stop at 86 St and 59 St.

3. 5 service between E 180 St and Bowling Green ends early each night.

Travel alternatives:

1. Use M101 Limited buses for local service between 125 St and Grand Central-42 St.

2. Downtown buses run on Lexington Av, and Uptown buses run on 3 Av.

3. Transfer between M101 Limited buses and 46 trains at 125 St, 86 St, 59 St, and Grand Central-42 St.

4. As 5 service ends early each night in Manhattan, 5 Line customers:

• In Manhattan, take the 4 or 6.
• In the Bronx, take the 2.
• Transfer between the 2 and 4 at 149 St-Grand Concourse.
• Transfer between the 2 and 5 at E 180 St.
• The Dyre Av 5 shuttle runs overnight.
