FASTRACK Returns To 7th Ave Lines

Just a short time ago, MTA NYC Transit sent out notice that FASTRACK will be returning to the 7th Avenue lines. Here are the details:

The Broadway/Seventh Avenue corridor is next up for FASTRACK. For four consecutive weeknights beginning Monday, June 25th, more than 800 maintenance workers will replace, inspect, repair, paint and clean subway infrastructure on the line segment between 34th Street-Penn Station and Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center.

1 Line service will be suspended between 34th Street-Penn Station and South Ferry, while 2 Line service will be suspended between Penn Station and Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center. Overnight 5 Line service will be extended into Manhattan and Brooklyn, where trains will make all 2 train stops between Atlantic and Flatbush Avenues. 3 Line service will be completely suspended with shuttle buses operating to/from the 148th, 145th and 135th Street stations. 4 trains will operate local in Brooklyn, making all 3 stops to New Lots Avenue and the 42nd Street Shuttle will operate throughout the night.

Customers should plan to transfer to other lines at these key points; Times Square-42nd Street/Port Authority ACENQR7; Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center DNQR45; 59th Street-Columbus Circle ACD and Fulton Street AC.

Only subway line segments with substantial subway alternatives are selected for the overnight shutdowns. So, in addition to nearby lines, there may be other lines running that don’t usually operate during the late night hours in order to help accommodate customers. In order to avoid further inconvenience, we will avoid other service diversions in the area affected by the closure.
