No Bronx 4 Service For 2 Weekends In June

Just a few minutes ago, MTA NYC Transit announced that service on the 4 Train will be suspended between 161st Street and Woodlawn for 2 weekends in June. Here is more via press release:

MTA New York City Transit announces that there will be no 4 service between Woodlawn and 161st Street-Yankee Stadium between the hours of 4 a.m. Saturday and 10 p.m. Sunday on the weekends of June 2-3 and June 16-17.

During this time, workers will be performing track maintenance between Bedford Park Blvd. and 167th Street and track panel installation north of Bedford Park Blvd. D trains and free shuttle buses provide alternate service.

• For service to/from 161st Street-Yankee Stadium, 167th Street, 170th Street, Mt. Eden Avenue, 176th Street, Burnside Avenue, 183rd Street, Fordham Road, Kingsbridge Road and Bedford Park Blvd., customers should walk or take a crosstown bus to D service at nearby stations.

• Free shuttle bus service is available to/from the Bedford Park Blvd 4 station., Mosholu Parkway and Woodlawn with a connection to the Bedford Park Blvd. D station.

Customers with mobility impairments who would usually use the elevator at the Fordham Road 4 station, may take the Bx32 bus to connect to 161st Street D4 station or the Bx12 to the 207th Street A station for service downtown. No Yankee games are scheduled during these suspensions.
