M96 Extends Loop Privileges

For any of my readers who ride or plan to ride the M96, please be aware of the following. MTA New York City Transit has extended the line’s loop privileges. Here are the complete details courtesy of a press release sent out a short time ago:

Due to construction activity related to the Second Avenue Subway in the 96th Street area, customers may board at the eastbound M96 stop at Second Avenue and stay onboard through the terminal on 97th Street on far side of First Avenue.

The new eastbound stop is on 96th Street, mid-block between Third and Second Avenues.
The westbound M96 Street stop on the far side of Second Avenue has been discontinued for the duration of the seven-year construction period.
