Heritage Of Pride March Service Alert

Earlier this afternoon, MTA NYC Transit issued a service advisory for this weekend’s Heritage Of Pride March 2012. Here are the details:

The Heritage of Pride March will be held on Sunday, June 24 from noon to approximately 4 p.m. March formation will be on 36th to 41st Streets between Fifth and Park Avenues and on 37th to 39th Streets between Sixth and Fifth Avenues. The March will begin at 5th Avenue and 36th Street and continue south on Fifth Avenue, turning right on 8th Street and continuing on to Christopher Street and ending at Greenwich Street.

The best way to go is by subway using the following stations: 34th Street-Herald Square (D, F, N, Q, R), 14th Street-Union Square (L, N, Q, R, 4, 5, 6), 14th Street-6th Avenue (L and northbound F), West 4th Street (A, C, D, E, F) and Christopher Street-Sheridan Square (1).

Please note this weekend that southbound F service will run express from 34th Street to West 4th Street and northbound service will run over the E line from 47th-50 Sts-Rockefeller Center to 36th Street in Queens.

The following bus routes may be affected by street closures and crowds: M2, M3, M4, M5, M14, M20, M23, M34/M34A-SBS, Q32, X1, X10, QM2, QM4, QM5, QM6, BxM3, BxM4, BxM6, BxM7, BxM8, BxM9, BxM10 and BxM11.
