FASTRACK On Queens Blvd Canceled

Due to the winter storm & freezing conditions that will take over the region for the next few days, MTA NYC Transit has decided to cancel the rest of FASTRACK that was scheduled to occur this week along Queens Blvd. Here is more:

The New York City Metropolitan area is seeing snow accumulations and freezing conditions that are expected to continue through Wednesday morning. As a result, FASTRACK on the EFMR Queens Blvd. Line has been canceled for the remainder of the week. This will free up personnel for snow fighting and cleanup after the storm.

Our next FASTRACK overnight closure will be on the 234 Eastern Parkway Line, between Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr and Franklin Av beginning Monday night, January 27 and ending early Friday morning, January 31.

I think maybe tomorrow night and Thursday night they should have done it.

It probably is for the best that they cancel it as more pressing needs around the system needed to be addressed during the storm.
